Whatever you decide for your ceremony, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Either are great choices...
Hi Rosean,

I take it you did a site visit? If so, lucky you. I still have to decide on this one, but thanks for the heads up. Everyone seems so happy with the gazebo that maybe I think I'll go with that. Plus, your right I'll still get to take pics at the beach afterwards. What is your big day looking like so far? By the way, I just noticed we're just a few days apart..YAY!!!

If you need any help, there are a lot of ladies in this forum with lots of valuable info and insight! Good luck!
Hello Dbell,

Funny, July 19th, was my chosen date too when I was considering getting married in Jersey. Your right about the feel for the resort. I'm not certain yet on many things, but I knew Dreams was for us from the minute we discovered it. Well congrats to you too, Happy Planning!

Yeah, I visited Dreams in August and put my deposit while I was there.

So far, I've sent out STDs, bought my dress (still looking for BM dress) and secured a photographer and videographer. I'm now onto finding a DJ and possibly other form of entertainment like fire dancer (if not too expensive).

June is still a long way from now so I think I'm moving at an pretty good pace. I'm anticipating the last 4 months prior to the wedding to be the busiest since all the little stuff have to be done then.

I'm also slowly collecting stuff for my OOT bags and have tasked one of my BM who works at J&J to purchase items for my OOT bags (this is actually a great help). I've also been looking for invitations, which we plan to send out in late January.

How about you? How's it going so far?

Good for you Rosean, it's best to start early. I'm actually in the very beginning stages right now. I'm hoping to get my STD's out by next week, and I'm going on a Bridal expo next week to check out some dresses. I'm kinda going back & forth with invitations. I've also started collecting stuff for my oot bags. I've been lucky with drugstore clearence sections. By the way, I read somewhere that you need to show receipts of everything you have in your luggages, (oot bags), when you go through customs in mexico. I'm wondering does this mean every single little thing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
