I am a newbie here and planning a wedding for Cancun, Mexico December 16, 2014. I am definitely leaning towards Hard Rock Cancun. Just sent an email out to Wright Travel Agency to get my plans moving.

Those are all very great ideas. I love them. I'm doing real flowees for myself. (They will be using flowees left over from making my boquet to decorate my gazebo.it saves money. I'm ordering my girls fuchsia peacock feather fans for yheir bouquets so that they also have keepsake and its different and unique

I also like the hibiscus, frangipani plumeria and calla lily very beuatiful tropical flowers... so I'd be more inclined to want to use those flowers.

Oh those are Cuuute!!   and would be fairly simple to make.. only need a few supplies!!!

I am in super money saving mode... plus I'm being cheap. and if these real touch silk flowers are as beautiful as they photograph... then I'm definitely taking advantage of the savings... I might drive myself crazy though lol

Speaking of customs, how are you guys transporting the stuff in the OOT bags. I think I might have read about there being limits on the number of things you can bring, and declaring it beforehand... that's just annoying.

So I've been on this website for today and i learned two things. Thing 1: I'm not using real flowers for my wedding. i just disovered real touch silk flowers and they look like the real thing. Since I receive a free bouquet... everyone else is getting silk flowers.

Thing 2: I think I want to create some pomanders to decorate the ceremony space. I'm totally not the DIY type... but I look at pictures and I get sooooooooo excited! IDK if I could actually do it. but I wanna try.

Well if you just put it in your luggage then technically you aren't checking it in but you can also have family members take stuff for you in order to space it out!

Did you find somewhere for the silk flower? I'm using them for my centerpieces as well but don't know where to look

I'm not DIY either - I need an entourage lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
