I also want to wait until booked but don't want to wait too long either. I guess I will go ahead and ask within the next month or two.

I do have a dilema. His BM is his best friend like a brother to him. He was married two years ago and ofcourse FI was his BM. I was not in the wedding his wife and him are the godparents to our children. We are friends but they were friends first they all grew up together they reference each other as brothers and sister. They are all assuming that she is a BM however I had no intentions of making her one now I don't know what to do. Am wrong to not ask her? Or do I just bite the bullet and ask her?

Oh, that's so awkward.  Who in the world assumes that they'll be a bridesmaid?  How many bridesmaids had you intended to ask?  Perhaps you could put if off to wanting even numbers or something like that. Or maybe you could say that you didn't want to make both her and her husband incur the extra costs associated with being in the wedding party?

Cherina I love your mantra. I can't wait until I can be at that point. Big problem of mine stressing over things and caring too much of what people think

I asked from the jump. Although I do not know who is coming as of yet. Who ever is there is there. That is my mantra. I REFUSE TO STRESS OVER WHAT I CAN'T CONTROL !!! it took me a long time to get to this point.

Yes very awkward :-(... He has 5confirmed and one possible. . So I need 5 for sure. Sad part is it's not just her who assumes it her husband and my future husband assume as well. When we discuss the wedding its always "we" I never respond. She even has practiced how "we" will be walking out. I just feel pressured

You are getting married in Turks and Caicos!  Your wedding is going to be fabulous just because! LOL  In all seriousness, it is important to many brides on here, myself included, that our weddings be different and unique.  One of my friends reminded me that my wedding will be unique simply because it's a destination wedding. The people that care are going to be there cheering you and FH on and having too wonderful of a time to criticize.

I really hate that you're being put in this situation.  So unfair.  I think it's time to sit down with your FH and have an honest conversation about how you feel.

On the bridesmaid you don't want: your FH probably just doesn't get that you don't share the same closeness with this woman that he does.  One thing I'm learning about this process is that it really does become more about what OTHER people want, than what you as the bride wants.  :(

Ha! I'm clearly way more indecisive than you, because I still don't have a venue!  I'm flying down next month (either with mom or FH) to make a final decision but I'm really leaning toward the Grand Coral Beach Club.  I'm not wedded to a date, but wanted to pick a date where my university colleagues would be done with the semester, if at all possible.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
