Hey everyone!

My name is stephany and I'm new to the site :) i just decided to have a destination wedding after 5months of stressing trying to plan a traditional wedding that would have broke the bank and not allowed us to go on a honeymoon. So I haven't decided on a I just contacted a Travel Agent yesterday waiting on some quotes. I'm looking for some place in Mexico or jamaica and I'm totally open to any suggestions. My budget is 4k and its probably going to be me my fiancee, our baby girl, and our parents as of right now with everyone else waiting for some prices to decide whether or not they are going. The weeding will be either April 27th or 28th base on availability. Any suggestions on how to make this simple for me and cheap for everyone else . Thanks in advance :)

Welcome!

 

What city are you coming from? It will be way cheaper in Mexico rather than Jamaica. While the wedding package may cost about the same (ceremony reception etc), the actual cost of the trip (air, hotel, etc) will be cheaper in Mexico for about the same quality.

 

Good choice on destination wedding!

Welcome to the boards and congratulations! You will find a lot of advice here.

 

I know you mention April as your month - however, you will lower your price potentially substantially by having your wedding on an off-peak season. April is still a very popular month for vacations - so you might want to see what your options are. 

 

Even if you've contacted a travel agent - I recommend doing some basic searches yourself on sites like expedia or kayak just to see what you come up with. I have heard brides on here obtain better deals sometimes by just booking on common sites.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
