“Wedding was as I dreamed & even better

If I ever will be asked where to do and how to do wedding - the answer is Destination Wedding Rocks!!! I never considered wedding in the city like itâ€s done by years and years – I find it just extravagant dinner with random Church visit – no offence – just my opinion, and next day you remember nothing. So we decided to have beach wedding - the first country that came to our mind was Cuba. Donâ€t want to see DR anymore and definitely no Mexico with its crime.
Now, wedding at Iberostar Laguna Azul
It was well planned – no worries with anything. Weâ€ve met with our wedding coordinator (very reserved person but she did a great job) for 15 min – all she asked is the place we want (beach or terrace up on the 5th floor), color we need, flowers I prefer. I wanted the beach - but it wasnâ€t as nice as I wanted so we have chosen terrace – it was fabulous. Fresh, breezy, overlooking entire resort and ocean – gorgeous.

Coordinator advised us – groom to come with family and friends at certain time upstairs, and me the bride – sheâ€d come to get me at certain time. Right when I came out of elevator – she told us who goes after who – in 5 min we were all standing at the alter.

We had Cuban alive music playing for us, minister, gardener made for us hearts of palm tree (too bad we are not allowed to bring it back – stupid border), we had Champaign to celebrate – it …RobbyïŠwas beautiful – no stress at all – just beautiful. I want to do it again… ïŠlets do that again

It cost us only 800.00 CUC and we paid 200 for 2 DVD (30 min record – great deal, canâ€t beat that) and we ordered photographer 150.00. They did great job – wedding was today at 4 pm, next morning we had movie on DVD and all pictures on Disc plus two big photos. Great job guys – praise to share!!!! Thatâ€s the way to do the business. Never mind – there are 3-4 weddings everyday on that resort – so every one busy and you donâ€t wait like in Toronto for years to get your DVD and photo – screw that.

All pictures were taken within 45 min and we were back to lobby for a drink where my husband managed to spill red drink allover my gown. Thanks God we had big Jacuzzi in the room and my mom washed the dress right away and it was clean again. I have a picture where I sit on terrace and drying my dress, itâ€s easy to do with 95*F

In the evening we had steak house – I didnâ€t enjoy their steak as much, we shouldâ€ve take Cuban restaurant instead. Music was playing in the restaurant for us – so you really donâ€t have to pay extra for private party – itâ€s not worth it. Its fun with other people – plus those restaurants never busy and they do separate space just for your group of people – so donâ€t waste money.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
