SHORT DRESS! NERVOUS!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am getting married in the bahamas on July 14,2012. I bought a short dress, (goes to about my knees), I am SO nervous about it, I am afraid it will not look like a wedding dress and just a short white party dress. But all of my friends keep reassuring me its perfect and will be great for a beach wedding. Thoughts??

The only important opinion on this one is that you feel how you want to feel on your wedding day while wearing this dress. If you are feeling that you wont feel like a bride in it, then perhaps you should look for another option that makes you feel that way. If you are fine with having a short dress and you feel like a confident bride, then stick with the short dress. It is a beach wedding so a short dress wouldnt be weird, but you dont want to look back on your wedding a regret not wearing a long dress if you are feeling anxious about it even before the wedding.

I say go for it! I love when people get creative with their dresses. It will look like a wedding dress when you are in a wedding environment, but you might even be able to reuse it in a non-wedding setting which is an added bonus!

I love the look of short dresses.  I guess if your friends are thinking its more of a party dress maybe you could dress it up with a blinged out belt or something.  I almost wish I would have gotten a short dress, it would have been so much more cooler!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
