IRHB-- Questions about the bonfire! Please Help :)

Recommended Posts

I dont think I will have enough people for the private dinner, but I really want to have first dances and speeches. Where does this happen?? If I do the beach bonfire, what is the set up? Do we dance right on the sand? Are there chairs for guests who are older or arent dancing at the time? Will my dress and everyones outfit stink of fire lol?! Pics or answers to any of these quests appreciated!! :):)

We are looking into IRHS for our wedding (between this and Half Moon!). I love the bonfire idea. Is the bonfire private? Also, what are the extra costs for this - to have food and drinks on the beach? I have emailed the resort but haven't heard anything back from the in regards to this. I would also want to do this as a welcome dinner sort of thing.

kpoovey - when is your wedding in June?  we were thinking june too - I just got off the phone with IRHS and they told me they only have 3 weddings booked for June 2013 so far.  Are you bringing a photographer with you?  I know we plan too and they told me they don't charge extra for that which is awesome!

The only thing I haven't seen is the pricing for the food for the bonfire?  I would like them to do a beach buffet or something.  More like actual diner on the beach... but the only thing I see pricing for is the cocktail party appetizers?

June 9, 2012 is our wedding. We are getting married at Rose Hall Beach though, not the suites.  I think we are just going to use the photographer Iberostar uses- how bad could they be?!  I think it's no charge, but you might have to pay for their daypass?  You might want to look into that a little bit more.

Not sure you can choose dinner on the beach with the bonfire, you'll have to ask and see.  It might be different at the suites?  We are having the bonfire Friday night after Rehearsal for everyone who is there- this way we can eliminate the cost for a rehearsal dinner and just have open bar and appetizers at the bonfire.  I think we are going to have music as well, just not sure what yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
