Spring 2013 Cabo! Newbie!

Hey all,

 

I'm LeAnn and stumbled upon this site and absolutely love it so I joined!  I have already gotten so much useful info!  Rich and I just got engaged last weekend!!  It was very romantic with a serenade while he was on stage on Fremont Street in Las Vegas!!!   P.S. We live in Las Vegas, and Rich is a part time musician, he plays downtown often!  We met at Mickie Finnz and that is where we went with 14 of our friends on 2/18/12, where we surprised me with a proposal!!

 

Ok with that being said, now a wedding has to be planned!  It is a 2nd marriage for both of us, I am 34, he is 39!  I have a 9 yera old daughter who I definitely have to have with me!!!!  So one of my biggest concerns was a kid-friendly resort!!  We  have our hearts set on Cabo and after only a week of researching resorts, we fell in love with Dreams!!  So that is choice #1!!  Now since we arent planning for about 14 months or so, it's hard to actually book anything because we can't even get flight prices and hotel rates yet!!  Or maybe we can but I haven't actually called the goup sales directly yet!! 

 

We have not set a specific date yet, and are very flexible depending on airfare and room rates between Feb and April 2013!!  Anyone have any idea about those months?  I think we may need to call a local travel agent to get good information possibly!!!

 

Anyway - thats a bit of my story - can't wait to start reading all this information and get this planning underway!!  So much to do!!

Welcome!  Congrats on your enagement!  I have friends who have travelled to Dreams Los Cabos and loved it!  They definetly recommended it.

As to travel, I'm not sure if its different from the USA, but from Canada peak season is usually January-March with the prices dropping significantly for April on.  Also, February and March tend to be a bit more expensive and busy because of spring break.  Not sure if its the same in the US though.

That was the one thing that seemed easy for me!  We researched about 10 - and we were looking for specific things at each - Dreams had everything we were looking for!!  I have read a few negative reviews but I'm optimistic and the positives I've seen outweigh the negatives!!  I just hope this year goes quick!

Congrats on choosing a resort.  For us as well it was the hardest part of the planning!  I know there are negative reviews for every resort, but don't let that discourage you!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
