ours is $99 as well.  But we can use the resort credits we get towards the salon, so my hair will be free aside from tip.  My MOH is in town for my shower this weekend and we are going to Sephora for a make-up trial so she can do my make-up at the wedding! :)

I'm so excited for this weekend- both my MOH's one lives in Vegas and the other in Seattle are coming into town for my shower!! I live in Illinois! :) What great friends I have!!

I don't have a bridal party though, it'll just be me & my mom in the salon. our appointments are at noon for a 4pm wedding. here's how the day is set:

noon - mom & Allison to salon (they tried to schedule it at 1pm. uhm, no!)

2:30pm - first look

3:45pm - to gazebo

4pm - ceremony

4:30pm - 5:45ish - photos for B&G and family, cocktail for guests

6pm 10pm - dinner/reception

so I have the morning to hang out with friends and such.

Thanks ladies! You are super helpful!

My ceremony starts at 4:30 with the cocktail hour from 5-6 and reception starting at 6, as well.

4 bridesmaids - but not all will get their hair and makeup done at the spa b/c $200 for both is crazy...I've had my makeup done for a wedding by a MAC artist for $50 and the salons at the resorts probably have cheaper quality makeup and are not as artistic. I'm considering brining in an outside makeup artist, but haven't looked into that yet (or paying one of my friends who'se really good at it).

ok ladies, I've got my wedding stuff packed - 2 suitcases to check, and a 3rd suitcase going to a friend to bring with her. Tomorrow we'll get all of our clothes and such packed. Then a day and a half of work, and I'm outta here!

Hey Ladies! 3 weeks until we leave to go.... and I feel like I have most things under control.... well except the brother and sister-in-law who decided to get a divorce about a month ago - and so we had to change everything and cancel her flight - even though she couldn't get her money back... and then today - find out they are going to try to give it another shot. So I have to regig everything again - go back to the resort with new table seatings, menu choices etc.... and wait til monday to hear from our travel agent if she can still come on the trip she paid for but cancelled.... Ah family drama. Feels good to vent amongst people who understand.

ANYWAY - With 3 weeks to go - I was wondering what you guys have on your todo lists? I don't want to forget anything - and so I figured if some of you could share those last minute to dos - then we can all be sure we aren't missing anything.

 For me -

  • I picked up kids gifts for their min oot bags,
  • Practice first kiss (they say this is important)
  • practice first dance
  • Need to buy new suitcase (mine broke last week)
  • finish downloading all music
  • buy sexy underwear for night of wedding
  • pack oot bag boxes and own luggagge
  • wrap bm and gm gifts
  • Finish welcome book - update and finalize agenda
  • Crafts to finish escort cards, door hangers
  • Book Car to take us to the airport (taxi or towncar for group)
  • Take Ring in for cleaning before we leave
  • Oh yah... write vows
  • Write Bride and Groom thank you speech

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
