Jake - I'm between May 17th and 29th because i'm going off the cruise ship schedules, giving some family the chance to get down there without a passport. May is a busy time of year so I want to have everyone booked by the end of December.

I talked to DJ Jose Aheeb last night, who by the way I really like.  He reccomended Compass Point - you can get married there even if you don't stay. As well as Cabbage Beach, I didn't know this but for about $400 you can use the condo's electricity and restrooms and get married right there. I don't think we'll change our minds but I'll look again when I get there and I wanted to pass the information along for the other ladies. He also said the Montaque Gardens restaurant is an inexpensive restaurant for a reception and they allow you to bring your own alcohol in. For some reason my guy dosn't like that place but I thought it's a great deal. It's also next door to a club called Waterloo if you want to continue the party. That club isn't my style but I know it's popular for spring breakers.

I booked jose as well.  I'm trying to work through hotel options now. I'm thinking of staying at sunrise beach villas and recommending sunrise beach villas and comfort suites to guests. our wedding is at sandyport so I'll be bussing the guests there.  are there bars and casual restaurants in paradise island?  I looked but saw more fancy restaurants on the atlantis property.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
