Hi There!
I'm planning a destination wedding at the GP in Mexico and would like to book the date but I havent had much luck with wedding coordinator email/s.

Would someone be able to provide me with a wedding coordinator contact name and email?

Thanks, really appreciate it.

I was married at the Grand Palladium Riviera in December/12.  Our wedding coordinator, Vanessa Roldan, was nothing short of AMAZING.  She was prompt to reply to my emails all year and even after we left and still needed to correspond about some issues, Vanessa and her supervisor were quick to deal with our emails.   She went out of her way to go into Playa del Carmen to find something I was hoping for when she didn't have it at the resort and she was the most friendly person you can meet.  On the wedding day, she had the whole event tick right along perfectly and was always where you needed her to be, even before you knew where that would be.  We had a Catholic ceremony in the chapel and we have not stopped hearing about the fantastic venue from both our guests and friends who view our photos now.  The chapel is gorgeous and quaint, and was the perfect size to both accommodate our guests and my anxiety of being front and centre in a large place.  The design and colours they painted the chapel made for astounding pictures.

The resort was spectacular for our group of 29, with ages ranging from 2 years to 72 years old. There was always 5 different things going on that our party could partake in, the food was diverse enough for our picky eaters and the staff was always eager to accommodate our needs and requests.

We did have a few issues with broken things in some of the rooms, such as a broken toilet seat and screen door, but we didn't even feel like taking the time to ask for a maintenance person, so it was obviously not worrisome enough for us.  Because of the huge size of the resort, we found it difficult sometimes to locate our teenagers, who tended to go off to do their own things.  The bonus though was that we had enough people that someone could always find them eventually.

Three months later, our guests are still raving about our beautiful wedding, the amazing resort and the fabulous trip they had, and we don't regret our choice of resorts for a minute.

Congratulations NCGOOD on your engagement!! Well first things first, make sure the resort you choose to have your wedding at, has your wedding date available! If you're booking less than a year away you could run into some issues. I would definitley recommend to either get a travel agent and/or destination wedding coordinator to help you out.

If you choose to have a symbolic ceremony (non legal) you will need to arrive in destination 2 business days before the wedding date, not including weekends.

The Grand Palladium resorts have a great beach bash post ceremony and reception, depending on the location of the resort, the cost will vary. It could be any where from $1100-$1600 USD starting price for up to 25 people.

Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!

-Jill

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
