Need Dinner Wedding Reception ideas for Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

We are planning an in suite wedding at the Cosmopolitan and using Scenic Las Vegas Weddings. We are looking into different options as far as a reception.  I would like to hear from someone who has actually had their wedding there. We like to know of a good caterer or restaurant to use.  Has anyone ever been to Casa Di Amore?

There are a ton of restaurants in that area, not just in Cosmo. CityCenter has a ton inside ARIA, Mandarin Oriental and Crystals, the mall. Then there are the hotels nearby...

What kind of food or mood do you want and how many people? I'd start there, then break it down into budget. I did a pre-wedding meet and greet at Todd English PUB and it went really well, but it's not exactly intimate or quiet. :) I did my actual reception at Border Grill at Mandalay and then did an afterparty in a suite catered with snacks and cake from Whole Foods and with a bartender from Culinary Pros Las Vegas, and they were great.

So many options!!!

@lilvegaswed was it hard to get an outside caterer into the Mandalay Bay suites?

I wanted to DIY reception in the Vista Suite at Mandalay Bay, just order some pizza or appies, and BYOB, but I'm afraid with their "no outside food/drink" policy that they'll shut it down.

Did you tell them it was happening, or just snuck it in?

If you're searching for a wedding venue and a reception all in one place, I could recommend Denny's. Yes, Dennyâ€s, which has opened a flagship restaurant, complete with a wedding chapel, on Fremont Street. The Denny's Wedding Chapel is officially open for business, hosting its first bar and grill-themed wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
