Dukan Diet Brides!!!

Okay Ladies!!!! I think I have found a DIET...wait this is not just any old diet. Its a Program and managble way of eating and living that I can actually LIVE with and not feel DEPRIVED.

Background:

Essentially, The Dukan Diet is a four-phase, high-protein, low-calorie diet plan. You dont have to weigh your food or count calories. You eat as much as you want, at any time of day as long as what youâ€re eating is LEAN Protien and this not like Atkins either.  Also, in each phase you have to have some oat bran, lots of water and a required 20-min walk and as you progress to each phase the walking time increases. Then vegetables are allowed in the 2nd Phase, followed by small amounts of fruit and whole grains are introduced back into your diet in the 3rd and 4th phases,

So I just COMPLETED Phase 1: The ATTACK Phase and I'm down 13lbs!!!! Yay!! Go ME!!! smile159.gif I actually stuck with the program b/c it doesnt feel like dieting. I know what I should and should not have and its that easy.  So in 10 days I lost 13lbs!! I'm so Happy!  I still have more pounds to lose but I KNOW i'm going to get to my Goal weight by wedding date!

If there are any other Dukan Brides out there...lets support one another!!!  Happy Planning and Happy Losing!

Well I officially finished the Attack Phase. I extended my Attack Phase to 12 days. The max suggested is 10 days and the average person only does 5 days but I wanted to see how much I could lose in the first phase before moving to the next Phase which is the Cruising Phase!

So in the Attack Phase I lost a total of 15lb (Yay!!)  in 12 days!!! Woooo Hoooo!!  So I'm now 4 days into the "Cruising Phase", which is where certain vegetables are re-introduced back into your diet and you go on a 1/1 (1 on 1 off) schedule of 1 day of "Pure Protein" (eat only Protein all day as in the Attack phase)  and the next day being a "Protein+Vegetable" Day.  So I'm really liking the Dukan Diet so far.

Basically, you stay on the Cruising Phase until you reach your "True Weight" or goal weight. It is expected to last based on the number of  pounds (lbs.) you would like to lose time 3 days. So if you plan on losing 15 lbs, then 15lbs x 3 days = 45 days of the 1/1 schedule in the Cruising Phase.

Well I'm staying motivated towards my weight loss goal  and I hope other BDW brides out there will join me!!  I need all the support I can get.

Hi!

Congratulations on your engagement. My wedding will be in December 2011.  I can't believe that there are no other Dukan brides out there.  I hope you haven't given up on this thread.  I'll do it with you if you still need support.  However, it sounds like you have made some serious progress already.  Awesome!  I know your energy must be soaring.

I LOVE this way of eating!  I discovered the Dukan Diet in September of 2010 and I lost 20 lbs with very little effort.  I like the fact that it only allows lean meat (unlike Atkins) and also that you don't have to count calories or measure every little thing.  I have gone back to this way of eating whenever I want to drop a few pounds and it works like majic every time!

So, I'm all set to start tomorrow and I'll keep you posted on the progress.  I look forward to chatting and supporting each other as we get ready for the big day.  Take care.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
