Hello Ladies,

I will be getting married at the DPV in November, and i am trying to figure out pricing, i cant justify paying for the wedding package that inc. 20 guest and then paying 65usd. pp for the extra people, as we have 30+ guest who will be attending im sure after all is said and done, i will end up paying over $3000 just on that, before any taxes are added, anyways, my concern is- with the free package i am sure we will not get above and beyond treatment, and that is fine, my sister in law to be is doing her wedding planner course here in canada and is going to help me arrange all the little details that i will buy here at home and bring there to dress it up, or buy in mexico, however im concerned about the free package not including enough chairs for all guest- do we have to pay extra if there are extra guest just for seating for the ceremony? and has anyone else done the free package? What did/are you doing for dinner if you have the free package? I know i must seem really cheap but the fiance and i are trying to organize going to jamaica for a week directly from mexico and need to work that into the buget. as well as all our guest are extremely laid back, we dont care if everything is set up and organized to the T for us... thats what mothers are for, or at least thats what she says. :P

anyone get the free package have any pictures of what to expect the ceremony to look like without paying for extras? What you did to dress it up( if it was needed at all?)

YOUR HELP WOULD BE AMAZING LADIES...

Thank you!

Bailey

We had outside coordinators, but I do know it was more cost-effective for us to start with the package for 31-50 guests and go from there. We were going to spend so much on the additional people (food, chairs, etc) that it just made more sense. You might check out their facebook review page to get some info and see if they have pictures of weddings. Your sis-in-law might see if she can work out a deal for you since they work with coordinators to bring them additional business.

I saw several free weddings while we were there. The main differences I saw were the size of those weddings were quite small (def less than 20), it did not seem very private, and the decor looked minimal. I was trying to keep a decent, private distance so I may have missed the good stuff though! They were all tasteful and the couples we encountered were all very happy. I don't think you will have any problems adding your personal touches! Dreams was a pleasure to work with & they will take great care of you!

Hello Bailey,

I am planning a Dreams PV wedding for November 2012 and just came across your post.  My fiance and I are pretty much in the same boat as you were; just can't justify spending so much money on things like food and drink which are already paid for in an all-inclusive package.  So I was just wondering how your wedding went and what you included on the actual day?  Did you have to pay for extra seating at the ceremony?  Were there other options for a more laid back reception dinner?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
