Hello everyone! My name is Carlie and I have been engaged for 4 years. We have a decided to have a DW in Jamaica in 2012 and are having trouble getting all the info involved to make an educated decision. Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated.

I am debating between these two resorts. Our young children will attend the ceremony and I know they are not allowed on the grand. I am debating on staying at the grand, with my guest staying at Rose hall beach, where to do the ceremony? The suites or the beach?

My FH desires a luxury room and a chartered fishing trip! LOL! The rest is up to me. Would we be disappointed with our room at the RIU?

Anyone have there wedding at any of these places. Can you give me an estimate of what the trip ended up costing?

I have been lurking for a couple months and just registered! I am anxious to book our DW!

Welcome!  Congrats on deciding on a destination wedding!!  Try searching for those specific resorts and see what past and future brides say about the resorts and where to get married.  Good luck and happy planning!

Grand hands down!!! I did a site visit to Jamaica and once I arrived at the Grand I never left to go vist the other resorts on my list. The Grand is a 5 star, adults only, resort with an upscale European feel.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm getting married at the Grand 12-3-2011.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
