I think it more depends on what you actually do for the wedding!! You could do all of the extras and still make it cost efficient!! My parents are putting in a HUGE chunk for our wedding so we lucked out!! But you can wheel and deal the resorts down there!! Say you paid for your room - had the "free" wedding on the beach!! Which includes ceremony & such and instead of having a "private reception" which I wouldn't be having if it were solely up to me my FI wants one.. you could have dinner in one of the  restaurants because most of the resorts are all-inclusive!! See if they can schedule a place where you can have cake cutting and a first dance!! A lot of the resorts have things going on at night and sometimes have what they call block parties!! Ask the coordinator at the resort to co-inside your day and time with a block party so that after the ceremony and dinner you can all go and party!!!!

Well it was an easy choice for me... First I looked everywhere in the states for an all-inclusive resort. I mean EVERYWHERE!! Let me be the first to tell you that they don't exist!! So then I moved on to the islands!! The Beaches Resort in Negril is the most child friendly resort I could find!!! Although I don't have children, children are a HUGE part of my family!! I have three nieces and one nephew and many many children that are nephews and close close family friends!! This resort has a water park, lazy river, the beach, an x-box arcade, sesame street outings throughout the day!! It was just a perfect match for what I was looking for.

I really wanted an all-inclusive so that I didn't have to have my guests worrying about money on their vacation and my older nieces (12 & 16) Can hang out around the resort and not really have to worry about carrying around money if they are hungry!!!

What I would do if make a list of what is MOST important to you about the resort...

I.E.

1) On The Beach

2) Allows Children or No Children Allowed

3) All-Inclusive or Self-Pay

Then type those into a google search and see what pops up!!

If you are not looking for an all-inclusive resort Bermuda is BEAUTIFUL!! Just not really any all-inclusive!!! That is where me and my future hubbie are going on our "short" honeymoon!!

Hey Gin Booties!

check out the Karisma resorts!  You can get a room block and get your room free, and they have pretty good wedding packages.  Where they get you is the extras like colored sheers and flowers.  It all depends on how you want to do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
