Bachelorette / Stagette Party Ideas in Playa del carmen, Riviera Maya.

Recommended Posts

I am responsible for throwing my friends bachelorette party this upcoming month in Playa del Carmen , we are staying at the Barcelo  in the Riviera Maya, I was wondering if any of you have any ideas of what to do. I have read some older post where Coco Bong is recommended but i actually already been to Coco Bong Cancun and I really don't think is a good idea for a bachelorette Party  since is very crowded and you really cant move from your place in the 4 or 5 hours you are there, so really the only thing you are doing its watching the show and dancing at your spot all night.

We would like a night where we can talk to each other dance with each other and others , laugh, cry if we want to lol, do a scavenger hunt list, embarrass the bride a little,  bring our bachelorette party favors and dance some more, well anyways I think you get the point lol, any advice would be great thank you.

I am currently planning my wedding in the Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen for next year around April or May.

I have some wedding experience there and advice since two of my best friends already got married there and I have attended to both of their weddings. So in my Bachelorette party I know for sure what I will do, so maybe this will help you decide too.

My first wedding there the  Bachelorette decided to get all girls together and go to Coco Bongo, and its just like you describe it, I mean its a nice show but you really don't do much but watch the show, we had fun watching it but I didn't even talk to the bachelorette until our way back to our resort, this is not what I want in my last night out as a single woman with my friends, (please Katy if you are reading this, now you know LOL) .

Next year at my other friends wedding the girls in charge of throwing it sent us an email telling us we where doing something called the  Playacrawl, I was like what? , OMG did we had fun, it was the best Bachelorette party I been to. Playacrawl is a bar crawl service in Playa del Carmen, they picked and dropped us back up at your resort , they took us to like to 3 or 4  bars and clubs , we had a party guide all night who took care of the group and made sure we made no lines to get in anywhere and that we had our tables reserved everywhere, o yea and very important its all you can drink all night.

We even brought our scavenger hunt list for each bar and I almost pee my pants laughing LOL , we danced on top of the bars, on the beach, everywhere, we really had a girls night out and got to enjoy the bachelorette like never before, in short it was a great great night.

So yes you know what I will be doing for my Bachelorette , hope this helps and remember what ever you do enjoy that night cause its one of those things you will only be able to do once in your life.

Hi!  I know you are looking for clubs and bars, but if you get a chance, you should definitely book a private tour for your girls to do a day of snorkeling in the Cenotes, swimming with sea turtles, and zip-lining.  We went through Edventure Tours and loved it -- my FI and I had our own private guide that took us around everywhere, and even took us to get beers at a local's beach spot when we were done.  It was amazing!  Just make sure to request the private tour, otherwise you'll end up with random tourists.  Cenotes are not to be missed!!!  Good luck and have fun!!

Thanks a lot for your advise girls. Lisa- we actually have lots of activities planed during the day already so yes we are looking for something to let our hair down at night and just relax and have some drinks. Georgiaz- I checked the Playacrawl web page and it looks very good , that's exactly what we are looking for, and it looks like they know what they are doing, I will contact them soon and  Ill keep you posted, thanks :D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
