Sandals St. Lucia Brides?

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there getting married at any of the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia?  I know there is a St. Lucia Brides thread, but I thought I'd start one for the Sandals brides.

We will be married at Sandals Grande St. Lucian July 15, 2011.  We are doing the BB theme, but I am upgrading my bouquet, and we will be having the three-hour reception with a steel drum band and DJ.  The Sandals brides on here are so helpful, but I would love to have a St. Lucia buddy to chat with!

hey there... we are getting married on sept 3rd at Regency St Lucia... i just book the hotel room online and still need to speak with someone in details to get the planning done... that said, are you arriving 3 biz days prior to the wedding like they stated on the website?  I did an online chat with one the sandal reps and was told you can avoid the 3 biz days requirement by paying an additional $150.00   are you hearing the same too??

Yay for another St. Lucia bride!  We are few and far between on here...

We are arriving on Wednesday and getting married on Friday, and yes, we paid the wedding expedite fee of $150.  I may decide to travel on Tuesday, but I do not want too many days to stress before the wedding.  I also don't want to worry about getting sunburned, fat from the food lol, etc.

The Regency will be beautiful!  My TA has some pictures of a couple of wedding there.  PM me if you want her info!

Sorry to invade your thread...I can't post a new thread...:(

My questions/advice stems from realizing the sandals resorts only have king beds in the rooms."Couples, Adult Only"

When you have guests coming single (haven't met their grooms yet, lol) and the obvious possibility of sharing a room for cheaper totals...How have you found working out those kinks of having the only option of a king bed??

Many thanks for your advice :)

Very much appreciated

Lindsay ^_^

It hasn't really been a problem.  I have a couple of guests staying together (two guys and two girls) to split costs.  Not sure how they plan on sleeping, but I'm sure they'll figure it out lol.  They advertise "couples only" but you can have only 1 person in a room or let whoever share.  Some rooms have small sofas, but I don't know if they'd be big enough for someone to actually get a good night's rest on.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
