The last minute bride...

Recommended Posts

Yeah, that would be me. I'm getting married at beaches t&c in 4 months and I haven't done a thing for it yet (except send out invitations). Don't get me wrong, this doesn't stress me out. What I'm really wondering is if I can decide and plan my whole entire wedding once I get on the resort? I feel like this would be easier and best for me. Any BT&C brides out there that have any experience with this? TIA

I know exactly what you mean, there really isnt anything to plan, Ive just been doing stuff like invitations, pre-travel brochures, luggage tags, welcome books all the fun stuff, I think the only thing you can do is make sure you have your menu picked out if your doing a private reception after the ceremony.  And the other things would be a preference I guess, like you could write your own vows or just pick ones they have, you can make your own music CD for when you walk down the aisle and for the reception or you could just use theirs. Do you have everything in order for you marriage certificate?

Ha! I don't even want to decide on whether or not to have a private reception until I get there. It's just that you hear so many things from so many people, I don't know what to believe anymore. I kind of want to hear it for myself when I get there. For instance, whether or not a party of 18-20 would be seated at one of their restaurant. Some people here say they were able to make that reservation no problem, while some posts say no guarantee. It's a bit confusing. I'm betting the whole no guarantee line is sales pitch.

I agree AnnMarie,

I met a bride who was married there in October, and she planned everything on site. She said it was easier than working with Monica in Miami. So I think the answer to your question is yes. Hopefully one of the brides who was recently married at the resort will chime in. And yes, a lot of it sales. I doubt VERY seriously if you say "I want a private reception" to the coordinator on-site that they will deny you.

Just my thoughts...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
