What's the best time of day to get married?

Recommended Posts

I am wondering what the best time of day to get married? I have a choice between 6pm or 1pm. Not the time I really wanted. I want my pictures to be in the sun but I dont want to be in my dress all day. Just wondering what everyone's opinions are!
Thanks

6pm would be ideal because it won't be so hot and the sun won't beat you up. Other resort guest would have already picked up and not be lounging around the resort. If the ceremony is only about 30 mins. then you can get some nice photos at sun set. Question is.... What time does the sun set in the month you're getting married? This can work out perfectly because then your guest can go to cocktail hour, if you're having one, while you're having your photo session. Once you're done, you'll be ready for the reception and not have to be in your dress all day long.

In my opinion I wouldn't do a 1pm ceremony because you'll have too many resort guest lounging around with the possibility of coming out in the back ground of your photos and it's that time of the day when the sun is very strong. You can get great photos but I think you'd be squinting in most of them due to the brightness of the sun. It's also too big of time gap until the reception and guest will just wander off and not make it to the reception on time.

Either way, it's your special day and you choose as you see fit. It's tough making these decisions because all of the little things that won't seem important to others, are important to the bride. Why does it have to be so difficult right? LOL  Good luck and happy planning :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
