Hi Ladies! I just came across this tread, and I couldn't help but notice that the dates most of you gave were in Aug 2011. So Congratulations to all the newlyweds!

If you could please post with your experiences, pics, tips, likes, dislikes, etc for others who were just as curious as you once were!

Thanks & Congrats

Hey! Congrats to you both...I am actually going to be getting married in Charleston on Aug 11 and cruising to the Bahamas as well.  I have gotten some what of an idea or the decorations...everytime i call the wedding department for the fun ship the same lady answers the phone, but i am so excited!  THis will be my first cruise ever and we are taking 18 people with us.  From what I hear, it's going to be a blast...and the wedding is going to be priceless!  I'm like you guys though, I would love to see more pictures, but the only picture I have seen of a "wedding" scene is on a different boat that carnival has to offer and it looks like a little chapel.  But the rep told me yesterday that there are many places to get married on the Fantasy, and she called them "lounges" so I am going to start looking for pictures of those areas on the boat.  Happy sailing everyone and if you get any more info please pass it along as I will to you!

From what we understand, anything you choose other than the regular stuff they provide is at least an additional $100 charge. I still think it is totally worth it because we don't have to deal with set up, clean up, or vendors. We are super excited and can't wait until the big day. I have heard nothing but great things about a cruise wedding. I'm also glad to have crafty friends that can make the bridesmaids bouquets and anything else the cruise doesn't provide! I wish everyone the best of luck and congratulations!!! Please pass along any information you have or questions I may forget to ask! Thank you!!!! :)

I just found this old thread and I'm hoping some of you beautiful brides from the past few years will share your pictures and more details with me. I'm booking our wedding for 10-4-14 on the Fantasy Carnival while in Charleston port, followed by a seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise with our closest friends. Any advice will be much appreciated!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
