Still to-do....

Well I'm a little more than 5 months away from my wedding and I have tons of ideas still floating around in my head along with lots of questions still unanswered by the wedding coordinator....

Feeling a little overwhelmed dizzy.gif since I've been engaged almost a year and somehow I still have so much left to do.

January will be a busy month for me and there's still a lot left for me to do.... thinking maybe if I make a list, it might help organize my brain a little bit.

To do very soon

Print & assemble invitations

Send invitations

Make appointment with seamstress to see about alterations (I'm about 2-3 sizes bigger on the bottom than up top)

To do sometime soon

Decide whether we'll pay $500/hr to have the steel drum band play at our ceremony.

Decide whether we'll do iPod/speakers at reception or shell out another $500/hr for the steel drum band.

Figure out whether to do fake flowers or wing it with the hotel package. If fakes, decide on bridesmaid bouquets, etc.

Get bridesmaids to buy their dresses.

Get FI to decide on a wedding band. (Already picked mine out)

Decide on wedding day hair & makeup.

Figure out what to do for centerpieces.

Find a veil and/or hair flower.

Create registries.

Still up in the air

Once RSVPs come in, figure out if we have budget to do OOT bags for everybody.

Decide on bridal party gifts.

Make programs and/or fans.

Possible photoshare cards.

Possible pre-departure newsletter/brochure

Decide what fun activity to do the day before the wedding, while the photographers are still with us.

Figure out ceremony details, like whether we'll have a sand ceremony, etc.

And to make myself feel better.... here's stuff that's

Already Done

Booked wedding date/time

Booked travel for wedding and honeymoon

Parents (both sides) are booked

Bought wedding dress (actually two... trying to sell one)

Bought wedding shoes

Sent out save-the-dates (although we ended up moving up the wedding by one day)

Made wedding logo

Booked photographer

Got engagement photos

Finalized invitation wording

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
