We haven't decided yet in which part of the resort we will be staying... but the ceremony will be at either one of the gazebos.... most likely the beach one unless it is crazy windy. We are having a private reception at Laguna. We didn't really pick a resort to have the wedding at, we just booked whatever we like not depending on which part of the resort it is on. We will arrange for transportation from the gazebo to the cocktail hour to the reception.

Congrats Stephy D!

I am getting married at GP Riviera Maya on December 2, 2010.

I am so excited!

My ceremony is at 3pm on the beach gazebo, and then I'm having a private reception at La Laguna at 7.

I also booked Claudia Rodriguez Photography.

I thought it seemed so far away, but time flies when you are planning a wedding!

Your date will be here in no time!

Happy Planning :)

Ahhhh I couldn't make up my mind between the 3PM and 4PM ceremony time! How did you decide?

I'm just afraid that we won't have enough time for pictures with the 4PM ceremony... I'd love to be able to enjoy the cocktail hour somewhat with our guests but we will be taking pictures from 5-7PM. I could always change it, but I'm still unsure!

How long did it take you guys to hear about from Rocio?
I waited about a week for an answer from Rocio. One I filled out the registration form and paid my deposit, Ariadna is the one who contacted me. She's one of Rocio's assistants. She's been great to deal with and usually answers my email within a day or two, sometimes within a few hours.

Hey Stephy,

I also deliberated between 3 and 4 pm... tough call!

4pm will probably be a little cooler and less of a break for the guests before the reception, but 3 pm gives you more time for pictures, etc.. I think you will be fine with the 4 pm ceremony.. they are pretty short.

You will have two solid hours for pictures, so that should be good.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
