Seven Stars is a newish resort on island. When it opened 2 years ago, within 6 months the management company backed out on the owners and for about 6-8 more months it really was only used by the owners of the individual condos. They created a new management company and have been in operation about a year now I believe. It's still a very quiet resort really as they haven't done a ton of marketing in this economic climate. But from what I have heard on island (and on Trip Advisor) people seem to be pleased with the room and their stays there.

I know there haven't been very many weddings there since opening. We did shoot one in April (couple got married traditional way in the US and then had the wedding they wanted here) My husband shot it and said they had a fabulous time.

Seven stars is the tallest resort in the country (so great views) is in a nice location that guests can walk to shopping/restaurants and very close to the grocery store in Grace bay as well.

I'm going to bump this thread up.

After getting sticker shock from The Palms, I've decided to expand my horizons.  Anyone else have any recent reviews or opinions on Seven Stars?

Kris - thanks for responding to my post in the other T&C forum and I've viewed the pictures from Richa & Edwardo's wedding and it does seem to be a beautiful resort.

Seven Stars is owned and operated by a management company that is owned by the owners of the condos of the resort.  Because a lot of the owners use their condos or live there, you'll find it very quiet and not crowded.  I know they have wanted to increase their bookings this year so I think you could find some great deals with them.  They have all of the on site facilities, bar/restaurant/spa etc.  and for guests it is one of the most conveniently located resorts on island (close to the Graceway Gourmet Grocery store and short walks to all of the shopping and restaurants.  It's got a long stretch of beach frontage as well.

I stop in on the Trip Advisor forums and Seven Stars gets great reviews from guests.  If you have any other questions let me know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
