Royal Suites Turquesa at Grand Palladium 4/16/10

PM me your email address and I'll send you the snapfish link, there are plenty of photos!!  for wedding boat info, i definitely suggest the website, www.weddingboatpuntacana.com.  I can send you Flori's info, I have to say, it was such a great starter for the whole wedding weekend.  If you do decide to do it, guests may want to bring a wrap or cardigan, because it got very breezy as the boat went farther away from the shore.  I did do OOT bags...we brought down tons of stuff!

Hey...I am actually getting married at the Grand Palladium Palace on July 26, 2011. I have been trying to contact Carolina the wedding coordinator and I am not a bit happy with her not responding back to my questions. I am sooooo lost and have many questions that need to be answered. I also have a budget and I have no idea as to what I will be spending. HOw was your experience with Carolina? Did you add your own details to your wedding through vendors out there? or did the hotel customize through other vendors for you? Glad that I know about the menus...I have enough time to get them printed. Did you find out about the Boat Dinner? I love that idea too and would like to see what they charge love.gif

WOW!!! How funny is that...our weddings at the same resort and in the same week :)....Maybe we see eachother over there. Did you decide on your ceremony area? What about your reception? I wanted to know if you were adding your own details to your wedding (e.g. favors, menus, centerpieces???).

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Carolina will either take a long time to reply back to you, or will disregard your message.  we only met with carolina for 45 mins a few days before the wedding, and then saw her again the day of the ceremony.  We talked for only a few minutes for questions that she had - if you want things done a specific way, you need to spell that out to her as much as possible.  it's unfortunate, but they tend to cram many weddings into a day.

Yes maybe we will see each other! What date are you planning to arrive and how long? Feel free to PM me if you wish :) I decided on the gazebo for the ceremony, the one used for symbolic ceremonies is the one nearest the beach and soooooo pretty! For the reception I am still debating between La Uva which is right near the beach and gets a nice breeze, or El Quijote which is an indoor restaurant and hopefully air conditioned. I am planning either a private or semi-private reception at the restaurant and then moving the party to the beach with a beach party. I am still on the fence about having a beach party or just keeping the reception in the restaurant. And when I met with Carolina in August, she said you are free to bring your own decorations. They offer decorations for the reception but with an extra charge. I hear that she makes menus and other brides have said that they didn't get any, so to be safe I will be making some. Anything else ask away!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
