Is there anyone else that is getting married here. I would love to speak with you as this is a new resort but seems really great!! I am also looking at other properties as well

Yes! I'm getting married there next July!!

I've already booked our date. I will tell you that the wedding coordinator is not very forthcoming about extra prices for the wedding until you book. My travel agent from this forum (yay!) is helping.

The resort looks gorgeous!! But there have been some problems with the opening, which is understandable with a new resort. I do hope that all is well by the time we get married!

First off...Congratulations!

 

I have also booked my wedding at Secrets Montego Bay for November 2010.

 

As was mentioned there were some issues the first month with the opening, but the reviews are getting better and better. I actually just spoke with friends of a friend that went and couldnt say a bad thing. They said a wedding there is going to be gorgeous!

 

I booked, a little aprehensively, before all the "extra" were complete and months before the resort actually opened! I have yet to do much planning with Monica, the onsite wedding coordinator, because she is currently part of the team doing the professional photographs of the resort! Come June she said she should be a little less busy!

 

If you go on the Secrets Wild Orchid or St James facebook fan pages, there are pictures of two weddings that have already occurred at the resort and both brides raved!

I've booked my wedding for October 10th, 2011.

Their facebook has a lot of info but I would love to learn more.

I've also tried contacting some of the brides who've replied that they've had their wedding there and some got back to me.

I wanted to see more pictures of the weddings since there's not a whole lot on the resorts' facebook.

I just hope that we have great weather when we're there :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
