Flower Question

Recommended Posts

I looked through all the wonderful bouquets but have a question.

My bridesmaids are all wearing Apple red. So I was thinking of having a bouquet of white lilies with red roses mixed in (I love contrast). I am wondering though if the red roses will become sort of invisible for my bridesmaids and perhaps it would be better go with a different color (yellow, orange, etc).

I am also picking flowers for the chuppah so I was thinking of white with red but would it be too much of the same color scheme? I'm pretty conservative when it comes to colors and like to keep it simple and clean.

Help!!! Thanks :)

I have seen bouquets with red roses with white calla lilies and they look beautiful. Were you looking into regular lilies or calla? Either way I think they would look great and not disappear in the BMs dresses. I like simple also and I think with a color like red you don't want to mix in to many other accent colors. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Personally I think it would be more a matter of how much of one color you have going on. What I mean is ... if the roses and your BM dresses are EXACTLY the same shade I think you probably would run into the problem you are worried about of them blending together.

What I would do is go with either a slightly different shade of red ( so there's a bit of contrast ) or have white dominate the bouquets with a splash of red in there, or possibly go with an all white bouquet.

It can work however you go it's just a matter of what you will be happy with. Maybe a good idea might be to get pictures of bouquet arrangements in the colors you like and compare them with the dresses just to see if it would make you happy? If you aren't sure maybe look at them with a different picture until you can find ones which work together.

All that matters is that you like the ultimate look.

That's what I was thinking, if I do mostly white bouquets with just a few red flowers, just to add some excitement to the bouquet. I found a few pictures that are pretty. I just can't seem to like any of the orangy/purple colors for my wedding, it just doesn't go with it...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
