Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I am not actually a bride but I am helping a good friend of min who is getting married at Paradisus Palma Real on 10/10/10!

For those int he process of booking or either has done, is she behing for not having book her flight and hotel. We have been watching the fares and hotel's rate and they are not budging as far price is concerned?

I know PPR is considered high end hotel for Punta Cana, but do their rooms ever go on sale?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Salime- I just came across your post and figured I'd reply in the thought of "better late than never". PPR does run specials, check their site. They just had a 30% of special but it's already over. Also, Orbitz and other online sites sometimes run specials for the PPR. There's also another site called LuxuryLink where you can bid on packages for the PPR. You have to stalk the sites to see what's going on. I'm getting married at the PPR in 3 months. We booked with a TA about 10months in advance. Our TA matches any advertised price we can find in print. Some of our guests have already seen a price adjustment. I did not find the PPR to be accommodating with a group rate. I hope you get this info and it helps, good luck!!

hi salime.. i am also getting married at PPR. As tracy said they are not accomodating with group rates, but I did end of finding a really good rate in march. the rate was $115 per person per night for the reserve 1 bedroom suite. i booked this through vacation express. they are a wholesaler that I found out about through another bride on this forum. if you are interested, please PM. They have the same rates as orbitz etc, but they allow you to make a deposit instead of paying in full. i still have alot of guest that have not booked so they are looking through the sites for good deals. the deal right now on PPR is 200 per night per person. however, PPR is apart of timeshares. If any guests are interested in sitting through a 90 minute presentation, they can book a room for a lower rate. some of my guests are doing that and they are paying $123 per night person. again PM if you are interested in the information on the timeshare.

happy planning

tracy: thanks for the info on luxury link. im going to look into that also

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
