Hello ladies!

We just got back from our site inspection---GORGEOUS!!! But...I didn't realize that the salon had no services other than massage. What are you all doing with your hair? I can't really afford to fly my hairstylist all the way down, but i can barely put my own hair in a pony.....Ideas??

Nicole can arrange for someone to come to Las Caletas and do your hair - that's what I did. It's a tad expensive, I think $300 - but for me it was worth it! If that's not an option - could a friend or family member do it for you - you can practice until the wedding! This is what most girls did.

Yup....November 10th!!!! I will ask Nicole about having someone come over to do my hair. Thanks for the suggestion! The only other person I asked flew her hairdresser out from Seattle ($$$). With only 25 people, it's not THAT big of a deal to me. I'm getting so excited, especially now that I saw the beach in person!

i'm so excited for you! i asked Nicole if i was the only bride who had NEVER seen Las Caletas before her wedding - and she thought so! too funny. i am so glad you were able to see things beforehand ... and that you love it! honestly, i can't say enough good about LC or Nicole or Kelley - or really anyone else we worked with.

the woman that did my hair - Anja i think worked at L'Occoco (sp?) - Nicole arranged it all for me. i was very happy with everything. have you seen my review and pictures? what about Jamy's - we both just got married the a few weeks ago!

No, I haven't been on here in a couple months (oops), but i would love to see pictires, hear stories, ect. Were you surprised when you actually got there!? I didn't really need to go down to see it, but it made a good excuse to take a vacation! Congratulations, by the way!!

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
