My 2nd marriage, his 1st - wedding gifts?

Recommended Posts

I would think that people will still want to give you gifts, especially if they can't make it, or if you have a shower. I would register at one place for stuff that you want, like new bedding or candles, decorations. I have heard a lot of people doing that. Also you could do something different and do the honeymoon registry, a pampered chef registry, registry through your photog. for gift certificates (my cousin did this and it worked great), I have also heard of people doing a registry for non-profit organizations.

I know I would want to get you something to celebrate your marriage! And you don't want it to be something you don't want/need.

Good Luck!

Thnks Annette,
Thats a good idea. I think from what everyone else has said, if someone is wanting to get us something, they will regardless of what we say, so we might as well register somewhere to avoid all the awkward questions of what we want. Word of mouth that we have a registry of some kind.
THanks for everyone's input.
I feel better now. I didnt want to insult someone by not taking their gift, but I also didnt want to insult anyone and make them think they had to do something. When that is not our intention by any means.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
