Big "Stamp" on pics!! (Riu Ocho Rios)

Recommended Posts

I just read a review from Trip Advisor and I learned that even when you buy the CD from the photoshop with the printing rights they but a big stamp on the pictures making the pictures "theirs". It seems that you can print them without the stamp but that it is very expensive. Can anyone who bought the CD pics from their wedding confirm this?

While I only used Photoshop for my video, I've never heard of this happening with any BDW ROR brides who used Michael/Photoshop. I would think that as long as you are purchasing the disc with "full printing rights" that there should not be a stamp/logo on those pictures.

If no other BDW ROR bride has info on this, I'd suggest simply sending Michael an email & confirming this directly with him. Maybe the person who wrote the review on Trip Advisor was mistaken & they did not purchase a disc with full printing rights. If this were the case, considering how many BDW ROR brides there are, I'm sure that we would have heard about this practice a long time ago.

I just got back from my wedding and yes they do give you a low res cd with ALL pics (almost 500 in our hour and forty five minute shoot) taken with a stamp on them. This is because you have not bought the rights to them. We bought a package (70 pics plus 6 free with the wedding pics- ended up being approx $800) These pics Michael will either give to you on a disc before you leave if they have time to retouch them or send them to you in the mail or over skype. These 76 pics are high res and DO NOT have the stamp on them. I think they give you the ones with the stamp so that if you are at home and decide you want to buy some other ones you can email them and let them know and they will send you the high res. He will also give you a form releasing the rights to the one you bought so you will not encounter any problem trying to print them at home.

I thought $800 was a bit high but they do a lot of retouching. They retouched my sunburn (I had an x on my back) on all my pics and took out all the extra people, beach chairs, jet skis, vendors, etc...)

Hope this helps:)

Exactly what pp said. You get a CD with all the photos taken. They are all low res and have a stamp on them. But the ones you order come as high resolution files, edited and retouched so you can make as many prints as you want.

- I won't add any more since pp explained it all very well!

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
