RIU Brides...Question about Welcome Dinner

Recommended Posts

I am getting married Sat the 11 and wanted to have my welcome dinner on fri the 10th. Which restaurant did you have your welcome dinner at?? One of the ones that you needed reservations or the buffet? Also did you set this up ahead of time with the WC?

I didn't have mine yet, but I contacted Chantelle about the option of a welcome dinner at the Rose Hall Buffet. Basically I just asked her if they would be able to set up a group of tables for the wedding group. She told me that it would not be a problem. I figured this would offer the most flexibility in terms of a seating time in case people want to do tours that day, rather than having to go with one of the set times for the reservation-based resturants.

I would say that would be the least stressful way of going about it. I have no idea if Chantelle would be able to book that large of a seating before you get there. Have you tried emailing her. I know she's busy but I don't think anyone else has done a welcome dinner yet. As I said in my review, mine was much like what Jamaica0619 has planned. We just got tables put together at lunch in Mahoe Bay. I think it worked nicely. It would be even nicer at supper I'm sure because everyone would be dresse for dinner and the Rose Hall Buffet is much more formal than Mahoe Bay. There always seemed to be room in there too so I'd say it would work very well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
