Caterers in Puerto Vallarta

Recommended Posts

Hi. I saw a thread on here before and now I can't find it, but it gave some estimated prices for the caterers from Boca Vento. I was also interested in the menus from Restaurant De Santos. I really love that restaurant, but I know they probably have many ranges in prices. Is anyone using them? I am having the Villa handle the bar, so I am just interested in ball park prices. There was another caterer who gave their prices "Andre Ramos", but it was so inexpensive I am worried about the food. Has anyone used them either?

Thanks.

Hi,

I found some information in the following threads:

http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t32113 and http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2339

I have only gotten quotes from Plush Catering. I read on here a good review for them and they have been very responsive and helpful.

Hope this helps!!

p.s. I'm also a SF Puerto Vallarta bride. :)

The restaurant you are talking about is Boca Bento in Mismaloya and is owned by Stewart Haverlack and he also owns Plush Catering. His food is fabulous. We went to the restaurant for a tasting and went back for dinner a couple days later. This is his info Stewart Haverlack

I have also been in touch with Stewart at Plush, but am finding the prices much more expensive than other caterers I have come across. I've read great reviews about Plush though, so I'm sure they're worth the money. I was a little unsure though as I felt he was a little hasty in trying to get me to sign a contract where as I still want to shop around a little.

Let us know if you come up with others, I'm at that stage of planning right now and could use suggestions!

I'm using Boca Bento and though the pricing was a little more than some and a little less than others, Stewart was great to work with, especially if you used his restaurant and catering he did great pricing for both. So we are going to Boca Bento for rehearsal and using Plush for the reception. I have had the food many times and it is amazing. I wanted to really wow my guests and his food will.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
