Riu Vallarta or Jalisco Wedding Locations?

Recommended Posts

So far I understand that the Jalisco has a gazebo and the Riu Vallarta does not. Correct?

What about other wedding locations at either? We are at a stand still because we are switching from Cabo to PV (or maybe Playa...eeeh!).

Also, what about receptions. What are the options at both?

Thanks!

HI Martha; yes you are correct. The jalisco has the gazebo, which is the main reason me and FH picked the Jalisco over the new Vallarta.

For your reception you would get a choice of having the reception at any of the resaurants at the resort where your ceremony takes place. We decided to go with the Brazilia restaurant and it will be fully booked for our 60 guests. How many guests are you having?

Probably 25-30 guests. After hours on the computer I think we decided against these 2 places. Nothing really jumped out at me when viewing the pictures on their website. Do you have different pictures?

So, you have to get ready at your resort then walk (?) to the other one for the wedding/reception?

Well we will be staying the the Riu Jalisco and using the Gazebo for the wedding ceremony. I'm not sure if you could stay at the Vallarta and use the gazebo? I know both offer the option of beach weddings as well which is ore popular of course being in mexico and all. I guess I just dared t be different and I fell inlove with the gazebo at first sight LOL and had my heart set on it ever since.

Hmmm... have you checked out Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor yet? They have good candid photos? What kind of destination wedding did you have in mind? I know there are sooooo many options, aren't there?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
