Questions for Iberostar Brides

Recommended Posts

So I have a lot of questions. I haven't really been able to get much information from the WC's over there, like they haven't responded at all.

1. What are the options for a ceremony site?

2. What are the options for having my reception/dinner? Is it in a restaurant or can I have it outside? Is open bar included in the dinner or do we have to pay extra for that? Is it private or semi private?

3. How much for a DJ? Or do they have an IPOD hookup so I can just do it myself?

4. Do the guests have to stay at the actual hotel the wedding is being held or can they stay at any of the Iberostar's in the resort complex?

If anyone out there can help me out that would be so so great!! Thanks!!

The wedding coordinators take a little while to get back to you (up to a week) but are helpful. Here's what I can tell you:

-the guests have to stay at your resort level or higher- this is why we chose the Del Mar to get married at because we wanted to make sure everyone could go and stay at that level or higher if they wanted

-ceremony sites- beach, chapel, or gazebo for the Del Mar/Beach sections. The gazebo holds about 40 people so that might be a consideration.

-they have an ipod hook up and the DJ is $200 for 4 hours, musicians are $300-400 for mariachis or violin

Let me know if you have more questions. Post your email and I can send you some of the attachements they sent to me regarding the wedding. Good luck!

My email is [email protected]....I would love to see pictures and any info you might be able to give me. I heard about being able to do dancing at Aqua bar instead of renting the tropical restaurant...do you know how much that costs? I'm really not picky, I just want to eat some food and then having lots of drinks and lots of dancing. I don't really care where that is. I do still want to have that first dance though. Anyway, if you could email me pictures and info and answers to the questions that you have answers to I would really appreciate it!! Thanks!!!

I'm also getting married at the Iberostar Punta Cana, guests are staying at the Dominicana. We're so excited! From what I've gathered from stalking the boards here, other brides have been very pleased with everything. You can contact their wedding coordinator, Santa, through the Iberostar website.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
