Catalonia RM, Confirm resort before wedding?

I have a good price for the Catalonia Riviera Maya that will require a down payment shortly. The dates are May 31, 2009 for 7 nights.

 

I have been unable to get Elena at the CRM to return my emails or talk to me on the phone. I have sent 3 email requests and called several times a day for the last week. The response is always that she will respond tomorrow and that she is very busy.

 

The ceremony is symbolic so will not require a legal representative.

 

Has anyone actually booked this resort and then had problems getting a time and date reserved?

setting the date is the hardest part. I had to call elena repeatedly to set my date. i have no idea why they make it so hard to schedule.

 

do a search for catalonia riviera maya & you will find a thread I started with all my info. I was really happy with the place.

 

just keep calling elena. she is really busy, but for some reason scheduling is the worst part. be sure to make it really clear you are on doing symbolic so she knows she doesn't need to look at the judges schedule.

 

I'd feel safe enough booking the trip without the date set as long as you can be flexible with your days. the saturday might be taken but you could do the friday, etc. While we were there 7 days, there was only one other wedding.

 

they are really nice & will work so hard to make your wedding great, but like most hotel WCs you will not get a lot of information. BDW made it so I could plan without asking them a lot of questions.

 

I have posted my pictures & video so you will be able to get tons of information.

I think I have read every word of all your posts. I love all your pix and ideas. I am helping my daughter with this one and I think you may have made it more difficult because I want to do all of it

 

I really like your guest gifts left in the rooms and the pix of you trashing the dress. The album you posted was beautiful. Another daughter had a traditional wedding last fall and I wanted this daughter to have some of the same Mementos and you have shown me that she can!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
