Moon Dance Cliffs

Hey ladies..just wanted to share this info for those stressing about the DJ vs iPod decision...I was thinking we were definitely going to go the iPod route just for budgetary reasons, but I've been looking around and found a DJ offering the following package:

WEDDING DJ SILVER PACKAGE $500.00 - (50-120 People)

(this package is for up to 6 hrs of music)

Free meet and greet consultation with your DJ

professional digital sound system

cordless microphone for speeches and introductions

wide variety of music

I'm sure he also offers other packages, and he's also willing to negotiate price based on your budget. I'm leaning towards using him (as long as I can convince FI!) just because it's one less thing to worry about! Also, my sister used an iPod at her wedding and the dancing was minimal (although I think this was due to her weird musical taste than the use of the iPod lol). Anyways, just wanted to share. Here's the website...Let me know if anyone decides to go with him!

JA Wedding DJ - Jamaican Dj, Jamaica Wedding Music, Weddings, Parties, Jamaica Wedding Photographer, Music Equipment Rental

Mallory57, thanks for the DJ tip. We have been planning on using ipod but haven't really put much effort into it yet, so if we can get a good deal from your guy, might make more sense! I think the resort charges you 100 bucks just to use your ipod anyway.

Hi Brides to be. I'm new to this site and I'm not sure how it works but I'm hoping I figure it out quickly. I am getting married at Moon Dance Cliffs 11/19/10 and am hoping I can get help from those who have already booked their vendors. I'm having a hard time getting Kerry to respond to me and when she does she only answers some of my questions. I really need suggestions for the following:

Videographer

Steel Drum Band

Cake

Thanks to anyone who can offer help!

Gina

Hi Meitra.

We looked into both the Rockhouse and Ivans. Ivans is at the catch a falling star restaurant. We ended up choosing Ivan's because it was cheaper, better food reviews, and more casual. They are working on getting us a microphone for speeches and even decorating in the colors we requested.

BUT Rockhouse has amazing views and looks like a really nice atmosphere.

Hope that helps!

I thought it would be fun for the guests to get out of the resort and see more of Negril. I was also a little worried about it feeling just the same as the wedding reception dinner, which would make the wedding night less special if the guests were feeling like it was just the same as the night before.

Those were just my thoughts, but I am sure MDC would do a great job with a rehearsal dinner!

LBCS--thanks for your input! I also thought the same thing about it feeling the same as the wedding night...I haven't been linked up with the WC yet, but I was hoping to maybe do something casual and fun like a barbeque. Hopefully they can do something like this! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
