TA Jennifer- We're in the very early stages. We've decided we want to get married at sandals to save some money and make it stress-free. I decided against Jamaica because the island has such a bad rep. I'm looking for info specifically on wedding pricing (we're est 20-30 guests) and on the ceremony and reception sites.

Thanks!

I have been really trying to pin down a location for my DW- I'm kinda curious to see what bad things you've heard about Jamaica- All that I ever find is positive about all locations, I want someone to be honest and tell me the negative so I know what to look out for!

misskaytee- Let me start by saying I myself have never been to Jamaica. I have never heard anything bad about the sandals resorts there either. I've simply heard from a few friends who have went and online in general that the island itself is dirty and a little more dangerous than the others. But again, I've never been there, and I'm sure with enough research you can find bad things about anyplace!

We are looking at the Sandals Grand in St. Lucia. I know you are worried about a TA and having one to talk to face to face. I will tell you that I called Jennifer yesterday and she was amazing! She is also very quick to respond to emails even though she is super busy. I have talked to a local TA and I didn't get nearly as much information from her as I did Jennifer! Needless to say I will be booking through TA Jennifer!!!

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
