Ok I know you want to sneak behind his back and pay for the pedi's anyways, but I'm never a fan of that sort of thing. Cain's aunt is getting married in May and he didn't want a photographer for their wedding because he hates pictures, after many months of fighting back and forth on the issue he finally agreed, only if they don't do church pictures and there aren't many posed pics. Well what she didn't tell her FI is that she hired two photographers. HE is going to FLIP out when he finds out, but she said "he will be so happy on our wedding day that he won't care at that point"

Ok my point is, just come to an agreement. This is a good test on how things will work in your marriage, if you hide things now then it will get easier and easier. Talk to the bride of the other wedding, and see what they did, and tell your FI that.

I have to say, Tammy is right you don't want him to find out later and get upset
      Christine + Will (married 7/20/07) + Ainsleigh (born 6/25/08) + Nolan (born 11/9/10) + Delaney (born 12/31/13) = One Very Happy Family!

I totally see your point, Tammy.

Since we've been living together, for almost 2 years now. He NOT ONCE has EVER asked me how much ANYTHING is. He gives me his checks and expects that everything is taken care of - and it always is. Even the wedding planning. He has NOT ONCE asked me how much anything is costing. WHY is he arguing with me over this?? I don't understand!!??

Guys get stressed over the cost of a wedding. Guys tend to feel they are the provider. So maybe he feels that since he is paying so much money towards the wedding he should have his say on taking care of "his guys" Maybe just sit him down and tell him that you both need to come to an agreement and let him know that your girls will be hurt if they find out you did more for the guys. (don't know if thats true, but maybe he needs to see it an another light)

You're right. He probably just needs to feel like he has control over something.

Plus most guys don't want a wedding they would rather elope in vegas or something so if that's the case then maybe he feels he's giving you a wedding so the least you can do is give his guys a shirt. I'm sure their is a reason for him acting this way.

ROFL.. Wow he's pretty set in his ways sometimes huh? I hear ya I really wanted Cain to wear a jacket for the ceremony but he said "hell no, it will be too hot" I said "Umm hello I'll be wearing a freakin wedding dress" his response.... "well we could get married in our swim suits if you want".. LOL GUYS.. So I just backed down and I'm not pressing the issue, he hasn't asked for much and I'm trying to make his few requests work.. (as hard as it is sometimes, lol)

You'll work it out, I'm sure. Just sit back and think "is this really worth all the fighting" if it is then continue trying to work something out, if it's not, then just let him get his guys a shirt. Us brides have WAY too much stress when it comes to planning, we don't need fighting with our FI's to make it worse.. Ya know.. :-)
