Punta Cana - EdenH real Arena

Recommended Posts

Has anyone gotten married or know anyone who got married at EdenH Real Arena, Punta Cana? It just opened in January and I have heard mixed reviews. I am not the type of person to take reviews personal as most people who write them are only writting to complain, working in the customer service business for years, has taught me that! LOL... but I was wondering if anyone knows first hand how it is? The wedding coordinator is amazing! I was a little worried as First I was dealing with another one however, she left to continue her schooling, but this new coordinator is AWESOME!!!

There are a couple of people getting married there. I was at the resort when they first opened and they needed a lot of work. They rushed the opening and were paying the price. It is a really pretty resort but the rooms had a lot of problems. We had our toilet flood out into our bedroom what a mess another couple we met had the ceiling fall in on them. Hopefully this is all fixed now we were there in Jan. The other thing to check is that the room had a big hole in the wall as if they were going to eventually put up curtains dividing the bedroom and bathroom this is not a bad thing if you are going with your FI but I went with my mom and aunt and it was a problem and it might be a problem if some friends are going to room together to save money to go to the wedding.

Rory, hi! I'm a future Edenh Bride and I visited in August.

I found the resort amazing. The food, staff, quality, and rooms. I think just some people are never happy. So I'm sure during my wedding some smart mouth will be complaining or find something to complain about, and you know what, I'm soooo past that. I'm there to have fun and enjoy OUR DAY! I read trip advisor reviews, and some people just like to complain. Punta Cana is such a laid back atmosphere that you really can't sweat the small stuff. I totally reccomend the resort to people who are going to enjoy there stay and won't expect perfection. There's just no such thing. I have to say, during my 4 day stay, I had a perfect time with my FI. And that's what counts. I know my guests won't be dissapointed. (and if they are, OH WELL! No need to strss the what if's!)

I couldnt have said it any better. At first I was VERY nervous about having my wedding at a new resort and reading all the mixed reviews and especially since we werent able to do a site visit.

Once I got there I realized some people will complain about ANYTHING, regardless of how small it is. You have to realize that, yes, this is a new resort, which means new staff trying to work together, trying to establish routine, etc, but they are working on improving everyday, which is normal for anything new. Buth like jessy said, nothing is perfect, regardless of where you go.

I am a really laid back person who likes to have a good time and found this atmphosphere fit my needs perfectly. All of the staff was so nice and tried their best to accomodate our requests. And I felt like they were genuinely doing so, not to expect a tip. The resort and grounds are gorgeous. I am a finicky eater, but I always found something I liked.

None of my wedding guests overall had no bad complaints. Even though 2 of them had 'toliet issues (not flushing)', they were resolved VERY quickly. All of my guests commented how they loved the resort and we did a great job picking it.

My wedding turned out WONDERFUL despite the bumps I had in the road with the 4 WCs but I wouldnt have changed a thing pinkie.gif We enjoyed our stay and cant wait to go back! I feel in time, this will be one of the top places to visit.

BTW, if you have any questions or any specific concerns, let me know and I can try to answer them :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
