I definitely see your point...but I guess my problem is how can you really tell what quality is better than another...or do you just pick something that looks similar to what you want.

For instance...how would someone know if they're getting a great deal. I don't want to always correlate higher price with better quality. I'm sure there a some great videographers who run specials or have packages that better than a la carte.

Thats a great question. Just like photography every videographer has a certain style that is reflected by their work. I would defiantly recommend picking something that you want. It's really a difference if you want to have something you want to watch over and over or rather then sit on the shelf somewhere.

With regards to price I would recommend emailing a bunch of videographers you like and go from there.

Wow! I can't thank you enough for the detailed response. I never would of imagined how to look for a videographer and I can say now that I am comfortable spending the extra money knowing what the alternative would lead to.

Is there a round about figure that states quality? For instance, what's higher end for videography? or are they pretty similar to photography? I know a great photographer (or great to me at least) and he charges on average about $7,000 for an entire day.

Well...thanks again~ That was a well written post/advice that I've bookmarked.

Their are certainly many great points that Alberto made however I would be cautious not to get to caught up on some of those details.

I would again recommend looking for someone who suits your style and what your looking for first.

With regards to a figure, it is pretty hard to say. You may find something you think looks great for $1000.00 however if you continue to look you'll see some videographers can chargers +$10,000.00.

It really comes down to watching videos and finding what you like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
