HELP! Know of any hotels in Ocho Rios that are not all-inclusive?

Recommended Posts

For all of the Ocho Rios brides that have already had their wedding or TA's out there, do you know of any hotels near the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios that are not all-inclusive or allow single guests?

My uncle has decided to come at the last minute (30 days until the wedding) and he is coming alone, so he cannot stay at Sandals. He asked me where he should stay and I have no idea!!!! Any help would be great!

Thanks so much!

He could stay there alone. I had two guests who had single rooms. You could also have him stay at the Beaches resort as it would be more affordable for a single room. He would just have to catch cabs back and forth to your resort (since for some reason, there are no shuttles between the two resorts even though they are sister resorts.)

Oh, and I should mention that my guests who stayed alone originally had a roommate that didn't show up, so they stayed in the room alone. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try my best to help!

If they stay in the room alone they still have to pay the full price, right? I think he is looking for something more affordable.

He is thinking about buying an all day pass and just staying in a room with my sister. Do you think anyone would notice? We would buy him one of those 10am - 2am day passes. How strict are they on knowing who is staying there?

The 10am - 2am passes are $130, which is about what a single room would cost at a regular hotel.

Let me know if you thinks Sandals will notice.

Thanks so much!!! This is kind of stressing me out because I don't know what do!!

We do not have a TA - we are handling the booking ourselves. So far that has been really easy, the groups women at Sandals has been pretty good.

My sister and step-sister are rooming together and they said they would not mind if he stayed with them.

I don't want him to get kicked off the resort!!

He will definitely be on the guest list!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
