We paid about $2400 - $2500 (can't remember exactly) for 6 night in an Ocean Front room. Season also probably makes a big difference in price though. We honeymooned there 11/14 - 11/20 (6 nights!). Aww...It is so...flippin' amazing, gorgeous, great food, amazing grounds....and the location of the property....you can't beat it if you want to be close to civilazition. If you want a secluded spot, with nothing around you but the ocean and your hubby, go to Secrets or one of those places.

I can't beleive it!! I could have sworn I wrote that!!!

That's exactly what I'm doing.. Tammy gave me a great price, just around $2500 for 6 nights ocean view.. ocean front is a bit more expensive..

Is "Royal Porto Real" the official name of the property? I was looking on the Royal Resorts website and did not see that name. In PDC they list the Gran Porto Real and the Royal in Playa Del Carmen. I am guessing that it is the Royal in PDC?

We had 24 people attend our wedding in Las Caletas, Mexico on May 24th, 2009!

We all stayed at The Marriott in P.V., and Honeymooned at The Royal Plantation in Ochos Rios, Jamaica!

Doyouloveit - How did your wedding go at the Royal in July? I'm strongly considering having my wedding here too and would love to hear more about your success!
