Dreams Huatulco are there anymore brides?

Recommended Posts

JesseJ - I understand why you are so upset - I would feel the same way. What time is your wedding? They can't have both weddings at the same time. I wouldn't worry about the disco either. When I was there, the disco wasn't very crowded. Plus - if you have any single people at your wedding - it might give them a chance to meet some other singles..

I did see the ballroom when I was there. It is behind the front desk. There are several rooms but it can also turn into one large room. It is complete - so you don't have to worry.

As for the additional cost for the cocktail hour - I don't know. I guess I didn't think about it. The reception can only go to 10:30 due to noise restrictions, possibly 11. I don't think you can extend it beyond that.

Thanx Silver. I actually just recieved word back from Rocio and she is looking into that option for us -- so both my fiance and I are super happy about that.

I also didn't think about the cocktail cost.....I guess I assumed it would be included in the $80 they want for the extra guest. I hope its not more

I think I remember someone saying $10 pp or $12 pp for all guests over the 20 that were included in the pkg. For one hour of cocktail service.

And yah, I know the reception can only go till 1030pm but if ours starts at 630pm I want it to be the full four hours, so i would need to pay for the additional hour.

What time are you guys getting married? I think we had planned for 430 or 5pm cause i know the sun sets at around 6pm the time of year im going. So our reception would start at 630pm after pictures.. then again, I guess if we did an hour of cocktails then we would only need the three hours for the reception. BUT I think its crazy to pay $10/12 a person for cocktail hour considering we are at an ALL INCLUSIVE resort. Man. I am thinking Jen or Andies reviews will help alot wtih these questions!

I agree - I am looking forward to other girls' reviews.

We are planning on either a 5 or 5:30 wedding - depending on the sun. I think we will decide the final time when we are there. I put 5 on my invitation but I don't think it is a big deal if we move the time back.

The wedding that we saw did have the hour cocktail party on the terrace by the lobby bar. I believe their wedding was at 4, then pictures, then cocktails, then the dinner. I think they plan on hour for the cocktail party. It definitely gives you time to take pictures.

Hello Ladies,

My name is Mel and will be heading down to Dreams Huatulco at the end of March 2009 to get married. Very excited and yet very nervous with all the planning. Just thought I'd send a post to see if any of you have pictures of the resort, wedding gazebo or beach setup? Rocio is a busy girl planning all of our weddings and thought I would see you any of you have some pics. Please let me know.

Thanks Ladies!!

Mel

I'm in the process of deciding where to have my wedding in January 2010 and have finally narrowed it down to either Dreams Huatulco or Riu Palace in Los Cabos. I just recently visited Los Cabos and got an idea of what a wedding there would be like but have no idea about Dreams Huatulco. Anyone have any pictures they could share to give me an idea??

My email is [email protected]

Thanks to anyone who can help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
