BREAKING NEWS for PPR Brides and PPC Brides

Recommended Posts

I just received this email from Kelly:

"Dear Palma Real Brides,

It is with huge sadness that I write to inform you that I am leaving Paradisus Palma Real. This decision has not been taken lightly and I have thought long and hard about this change, but due to personal reasons I am returning to the UK. I know that many of you have placed your trust in me personally to manage your once-in-a-lifetime-event and so I apologize that I will not be here to continue this journey with you.

My replacement arrives on Monday June 2nd 2008 and I will be here with her for 2 weeks going over each of your files explaining every detail that has already been planned – there is no need to resend anything, my handover to her will be thorough and precise. I will brief her fully on each one you and your decisions and plans so far and visions for your wedding.

Her name is Viviana Lopez and she is currently the Romance Manager from Paradisus Punta Cana. She already has plenty of experience with weddings and events and has all the same contacts with the vendors as I do here in the area. She will be a fabulous replacement and the changeover will be seamless. Viviana and I will handle all weddings together from June 2nd up until June 15th 2008 which will be my last day in Palma Real. From June 16th Viviana will be the Romance Manager and Carolina Joa continues here alongside her as Romance Coordinator.

Many of you feel like close friends as we have shared the experience and emotions of planning the most important day of your life, and so I am sad that I will not see that day finally come together… I wish you all the very best for the wedding and a life of love and happiness with your future husband.

One last important tip:

ENJOY the wedding day – take it all in, LOOK at your guests, walk SLOWLY down the isle, LISTEN to the music and SMELL the flowers. The day will go so fast, make sure you really live it.

It has been a pleasure to know you all…"

Now my concern is: Is Viviana going to run both Paradisus Hotels?

Don't worry, I'm sure they will have it sorted. Remember that the point of a WC is so that you don't have to worry.

I think it is very good for them to keep you informed. It shows excellent communication skills

I just got the same email from Viviana letting me know that she is leaving PPC. Her assistant is taking over as Romance Manager and some girl I've never heard of is taking over as assistant.

I have to admit, this makes me very nervous!

Yes - I have received the same email from Viviana and I am not very happy about it....... I feel like already here we go!!! I knew everything was just going a little to smooth.

She was awesome and I had just emailed her about some last details and now I feel like I have to start all over!!!! LOL - I guess all we can do is re-send emails and hope for the best!!! I have to admit though, I am worried now,,,

wow, what excellent communication. you brides are lucky. The coordintaor at our resort just let too and brides in planning did eventually get a short email but nothing like this.

Try not to worry too much about your planning, even though she is leaving I'm sure she will do a good job briefing the new planner

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
