Hi all, we got married on 31 March this year whilst sailing on Freedom of the Seas.  We used Janelle from Island Bliss Weddings and we had a fantastic day, no hassles, all sorted with no hassle and well priced.

We got married at Lindquist beach, fab place.  It was a local public hol and many ships in, Magens bay was soooooooooooooooo busy, thank goodness we were not getting wed there!  It was lovely to go there after for food and the sea/sun but it was crowded like a busy tourist beach in Europe in high season.  Not at all what we expected/wanted!

Hi Judy,

I looked at the website islandchicweddings and I liked the wedding style. Which beach are you having your wedding on?  Are you going to have a reception there also? Have you customized any part of your wedding? I'm researching wedding companies in St.Thomas now and I'm planning for a December 2011 wedding.

There are a couple highly-recommended coordinators in St. Thomas. My top three were Island Bliss Weddings (Janelle), Weddings the Island Way (Angela), and Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas (Leslie). We are going with Janelle and she has been great so far (I have like 3million questions for her and she's very patient with me). They all have great reviews here and other sites.

I don't know if the Ritz allows outside vendors or whatnot, but these three ladies all responded to my original quote within one day and had a lot of info to help narrow down my ideas. Needless to say the original plan has now evolved into something completely different! cheesy.gif

I have recently hired Leslie at Perfect Weddings of St Thomas, she has seem helpful thus far however only been working with her for a week now. Our wedding date is 11/11/11 and we hired Blue Glass Photography has anyone had any experience with them? We are also choosing from Lindquist Beach or Blue Beards Beach we are going there next month to look at the venues but wanted some input if any of you have suggestions.

Thanks.

I started working with Pallie from Ceremonies of St John but I realized that she only works with weddings in st john. we are having our ceremony in st john but our reception in st thomas at havana blue at the marriott so I am trying to decide if logistically it would be better to use someone like janelle who works in both locations. Thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
