I'm getting in the final phase of my Borading Pass STD's and I was wondering if I should send along a RSVP card just to get a general idea of how many people are going? My best friend seems to think that I'm sending too much information because I will be sending out a formal invitation at a later date. What information have you sent with your STD's?

Certainly you can do a preliminary RSVP - sort of a "think I'll be there", "don't think I can make it" sort of thing. However, given that you're more than a year out, most people won't really be able to commit firmly.

If you do want to do a preliminary, you can either (a) send them to your wedding website if you have one, or (B) include an RSVP page on your STD that can be detached and returned as a postcard.

I would definitely try to get a sense of who is interested in traveling.

There are lots of places to get free websites. That's how we've been getting most of our info to our guests!
