Hi,

Thank you for your replies, we leave in 4 weeks and i am getting really excited now.

I wondered if you had any suggestions as to what to do afterwards. I am thinking of hiring the pool bar and stereo system for a private reception but it is well over our budget. Any suggestions please :)

Then we will be there at the same time (May 2-9) but I will miss your wedding on the 12th.

I think my daughter is renting the bar for after the meal and bringing an ipod with music on it.

You can always come over to the Riu Vallarta if you want an idea of how a wedding will look, on the 7th around 3pm. I believe the wedding is on the beach.

You may be on the same flight as my mom who is flying out of Manchester the same date as you.

That's awesome, I wish i was going back I loved it there. Although it wouldn't be the same without all my family there.

What day does your wedding fall on? If it's a Wednesday, the disco is not open. The disco is open every day other than a Wednesday. We rented the pool bar and speakers for 5 hours. It was my favorite part of the whole wedding - we all let lose and had a blast. I brought my laptop with us ( which I highly recommend NOT DOING) and hooked it up to the speakers. They had the proper hook ups and everything so an Ipod would work too. I think it's like $25 an hour fr the speaker rental and $50 per hour for the bartender? Everyone still wanted to party after the time was up but security said it needed to shut down which sucked because our wedding was on a Wednesday. BOO! So we all gathered up and went to the sports bar. i grabbed our own speakers and we partied there for the night.

So if you can stand the smell in the disco I would give it a shot. No one really goes there except for a few guests so it would really be your group. Plus it's FREE!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
