Recommended Posts

Oh crap, yet another thing to add to the always-growing list of things-to-purchase. I never heard of hostess gifts for a shower. We will jsut have to see how much money i have closer to the date, but that this point, I don't think it's going to happen...

My MOH's mother is having a shower for me at her home so I thought it would be nice to get her a Jo Malone Candle as a thank you.

They are pricey as far as candles go, but she's so great and since she's not in my wedding party it's not like she's getting another bridesmaid gift from me so I thought I could splurge!

I am having 3 showers.  One is being hosted by my MOH and one of my other BM's.  The other 2 are being hosted by friends of my FMIL.  For the shower being hosted by my BMs, I had already planned on giving them their BM gifts (beach bags with sunscreen, candle, necklace, personalized wine glass, flip flops, and shawl) as well as their dresses (all of which I purchased).  I think for the two that are doing most of the hosting of the shower, I will get them something extra and put it their bag...I like the idea of the shower gel with note saying From my shower to yours or Hope your shower is as good as mine.  My MOH's MIL is helping as well so I will probably get her a potted plant or flowers.  Then for the other two showers, someone on here directed me to Willow Tree Angels.  I think I will get each one of those and maybe a plant/flowers.  My FMIL did say though that she would help with those gifts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
