I am not one of those girls who have always dreamt about their wedding day. I knew, however, that I wanted to get married at the Caribbean seashore because I believe that it is a piece of heaven on earth. My friend who is a photographer was going to photograph our wedding day, so I thought that I was all set…until I came across some of del Sol work on youtube. My fiancé and I spent a whole day looking at del Sol pictures, and I immediately knew that I want to do TTD. I have to admit that even though I liked del Sol very much, I did make a few phone calls to check on other photographers but nothing seemed comparable to del Sol. And then I thought to myself, why am I wasting my time looking for something that I have already found? J

As I already said, I didn’t have big ideas about my wedding day, so I started planning quite late. When I first e-mailed del Sol, I was super nervous because it was close to my wedding day and I was afraid that they would be booked. The response came in one day. One day! Every bride knows how frustrating it can be when things are not moving along because another party is not responsive or doesn’t read your e-mails (which happened a lot with the hotel in which I did my wedding).  Therefore, in my review I want to praise Melissa because she did a great job from start to finish. She was helpful, responded to my inquiries promptly, and I thought that the booking process could not have been easier. I should also say that del Sol’s automated system for payments and client profile was easy to use.

And the pictures…I don’t even know where to start. After looking at hundreds of pictures, we have decided to go with Sol. Everyone who has seen her work knows that Sol is very talented. But, as someone who has met her in person, I also know that she is very friendly, outgoing and simply a nice person to be around. I was a bit nervous about being shy during the photo shoot but somehow Sol made the whole process pleasurable. Just look at our pictures – it seems as though we did three different photo shoots! Sol dedicated so much time, and both my husband and I are very grateful for so many wonderful memories. Debora who was assisting Sol during our TTD was just as great. If I did another photo shoot with del Sol (which is what I am already dreaming about, haha!), I would definitely ask for Sol.  The whole day was so much fun, I want to do it again!

I love our pictures; I can’t believe that they turned out to be so good. Since I have received them, I must  have looked through the entire slideshow more than a hundred times. I love the colors and black & white but most of all, I love the fact that our pictures captured how incredibly happy we were that day. That’s what Sol does so well – she captures the emotion and freezes the image for it to be alive in our memories for years to come. Whenever I look at the pictures, I relive that day over and over again.

Now that a few months have passed since my wedding, I am sure that doing TTD with Sol was the best wedding decision I could have made. For all future brides who are wondering if hiring del Sol is worth it, the best advice I can give you – if you need to cut your budget somewhere to have del Sol photograph your wedding, do it because you will not regret it. Del Sol is truly worth all the praise that it has been receiving, see it for yourself! J
